Due to manpower pressures and time constraints WE CANNOT ACCEPT ENTRIES FOR THE CRAFT TENT ON THE DAY. This rule WILL be implemented this year.

Shuttle Bus Timetable

Carrigy's shuttle bus will be starting at 12 noon from outside the old swimming pool at the back of the Market Square. It will run every hour.

Gospel Singing & Traditional Nigerian Dance

During the day we are lucky enough to have an African traditional dance group and a Gospel church choir giving a performance. Keep checking the site for the days schedule - make sure you don't miss a thing!

Newgrange Falconry Display

Sponsored by the Heritage Office of Longford, Newgrange Falconry will be on the showground giving one of their amazing displays.
There will be Harris hawks or owls which will fly freely to the gloved fist. (This display replaces the sword fighting published on the show-schedule)

Shuttle Launch confirmed for Market Square!!

Carrigys are providing a FREE shuttle bus from Longford town to the showground. Departing from the Market Square and passing the Railway Station the FREE bus service will go back and forth all day.

2008 Clonkeen, Moydow, Longford

Longford Show and Country Fair is moving to Clonkeen, Moydow just outside Longford Town. This new, 30 acre site is ideal in accommodating all the regular livestock attractions and some new ones, but also giving us a more flexible area for traders, traditional craft displays and demonstrations. Keep checking the site for news of confirmed events and stands.

The Longford Show & Country Fair is to be held on 26 July 2008.
With a new name - Longford Show & Country Fair - and a new location - Clonkeen, Longford - this years event will be bigger than before.
